NPL Academy Information

Radcliffe Borough Academy have been running a successful full time education and football programme since September 2014 as proud partners of the NPL Football Academy.
The programme which is hosted at Stainton Park, see’s students aged 16-18 study for a BTEC in Sport qualification at the football club in the mornings, before training in the afternoon with Academy manager Pete Lofthouse (UEFA qualified coach).

Matchday’s take place on a Wednesday as the squad compete in the NPL Football Academy League – the only league of this type in the UK to be sanctioned by the FA as well as the prestigious and historic FA Youth Cup.

As members of the NPL Football Academy League, all matches take place at the main stadiums of the eleven clubs involved, all members of the Evo-Stik League.

There are genuine pathways into first team semi-professional football as shown by Ben Oldroyd and Adam Henshall, two 16 year old midfielders who made their debut’s in the first season of Academy football at Radcliffe Borough.
