Droylsden Preview

Promotion chasing Radcliffe face Droylsden at home on Saturday, in the first of the final ten games of the season remaining.

The Form
Droylsden sit 12th in the League table and have won three of the last six games. Their last game was a late 1-0 win against Clitheroe at home last Saturday. And recently added former Radcliffe player Stavros Tserpes to their squad.

The Boro have won two of the last six games. Which was a 3-1 win at Glossop last Saturday and the other was against our next opponents Droylsden in a 2-0 away win. Aaron Burns, Scott Metcalfe and Tunde Owolabi with the goals at Glossop.

The last fixture between the sides was only just a few weeks ago. The Boro won 2-0 with goals from Scott Metcalfe & Ben Wharton for Radcliffe on the 8th February. Highlights are available on Youtube and the Match Report is available here.

Jon Macken spoke to Radcliffetv last Saturday:
"We need to go on a run now, we have some big games coming up, we know they are big games and we looking forward to them games. We can only control the controllable we can only do what is set out in front of us whoever it might be at our place or away from home we can only have a game plan against them and try and win the game and that’s why we going to keep doing its all we can do.
There all big games, Droylsden try and play football and are a very good footballing side some very good players and its going to be a tough game no tougher than the game at Glossop, they are all tough games at this stage of the season and as we will find out some results will surprise people.
"


The Game takes place The Neuven Stadium with a 3pm Kick Off.
Admission prices are Adult £8, Concessions - £5 U18 £2 All U16s are Free!
