Radcliffe Borough 0 – 3 Lancaster City Match Report
A double from Hannu Tam helps the league leaders take home the three points.
The hosts looked to catch the visitors out in the early stages of the game and created their first chance within the first five minutes after nice link up play by Lamin Baldeh and Jack Hindle down the right and Lamin’s cross picked out Elliot Rokka, who just couldn’t find the finish.
In the 16th minute the visitors carved out a chance and Ryan Winder’s shot forced Kyle Haslam to make a cracking save to keep the scores level.
With twenty minutes gone both teams were looking to try and take control of possession and pass the ball about to try and tire the other team out, chances were limited in the early stages.
Boro shot stopper Haslam was called into action making a double save, after Winder’s shot could only be palmed away and the rebound fell to Hannu Tam, but Haslam saved at close range in the 29th minute.
With half an hour gone both teams were looking to keep possession rather than pushing for the opening goal. Lancaster was the team on top.
Tam opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of half time with a nice lob over Haslam after Lancaster found a way through the Boro defence.

The visitors looked to put pressure on the hosts right after the restart and doubled their league two minutes in after Tam produced a neat finish and tucked the ball home after the Boro were caught out.
The home side were awarded a penalty after a handball by Lancaster in the 49th minute. Hindle stepped up, but Michael Hale guessed the right way and saved the spot kick. This was the moment that could have changed the game and give the Boro the confidence to make a comeback, but a great save prevented the comeback from happening.
Jacques Kpohomouh had to make a goal line clearance after Haslam had already committed to another shot in the 54th minute.
As the game passed the hour mark Lancaster looked too much for the Boro who just couldn’t create anything of real threat in the final third.
In the 70th minute Lancaster went three up after the Boro were caught out, Jordan Connerton converted his chance from close range to put the visitors out of sight in the match.
With ten minutes left the visitors just looked to keep possession and keep the clean sheet intact, the home side just couldn’t produce any real threats in the final third.
