Droylsden 3-1 Radcliffe Match Report:
On a nice summers evening the hosts produce a comfortable win.
Close start for first 15 of the game Droylsden had the early chances. Jamie Frost with an early chance to test boro keeper in the 7th minute.
Boro responded with fantastic weighted pass over the top for Brendan Glackin who attempted a lob over the keeper but didn't get the dip and went into the stand in the 9th minute.
Boro kept creating chances but couldn't produce in the final 3rd that final product was lacking to produce a goal.
Boro started to produce some good football and good movements and nearly scored from a corner as Glackin again missed a perfect opportunity missing a free header at the back post and put it into the side netting.
Droylsden then came forward and started to attack the Boro goal. Which produced a corner that came in, but Basso dropped the ball which gave Ciaran Kilhenney perfect opportunity to tap in a header to put the hosts in front in the 33rd minute.
Droylsden then started to dominate the rest of the first half creating chance after chance. And ended the half strongly and in front.

Second half started the same as the first, Boro were opened up with ease and the hosts added a second goal, Caddick was able to finish with ease in the 50th minute.
Droylsden started to pound the Boro goal with chance after chance wasted to score more. Shots breezing past the post and forcing Basso into decent saves.
Boro then sparked into life, creating chances again as they did in the first half, Galkin got through on goal but took too long and was disposed by the defender and goalkeeper who came out to collect.
Boro finally got a goal though Carl Peers was played though and managed to square the ball across the Goal for Sherlock to tap in, in the 77th minute. Boro were back in business.
Last 15 mins, both sides were creating chances but couldn't convert. Sherlock was played though again but hit the post but was denied via the offside flag anyway.
Starting to get a foothold in the game Boro couldn't break through and get an equliser.
Carl Peers was denied a penalty where the ball hit a hand in the box. The referee thought it was him that handballed it and not the Droylsden defender as Boro claimed.
Eventually after some Boro pressure and error by a Boro defender gave the ball away on the edge of the half way line allowing Dominic Smith to run free towards the Boro goal. With a cool finish into the bottom corner finished the game off and killed off the Boro fight back in added time.

Overall Boro had chances but Droylsden dominated most of the game, took advantage of what was gifted to them and took the 3 points. Boro just couldn't break down the defence in front of them despite creating opportunities to score.
Next up for Radcliffe is a home cup tie against Burscough this Saturday 19th August with a 3pm kick off. This game promises to be an exciting match with the winner going through to the next round of the cup.
