Radcliffe 3 Vs 2 Tadcaster Albion Match Report:
Radcliffe grab first win of the season.
The visitors went in front in the 11th minute when Danny Frost latched onto a Boro defensive mistake and played the ball to Aiden Savory whose shot found the back of the net.
Carl Peers had Radcliffe’s first chance of the game in the 16th minute after a nice Boro move, Peers found himself in space and with a clear opening, his shot curled off target.
Tadcaster controlled the game in the first half as the Boro struggled to get chances in the final third as the Tadcaster defence held firm.
The next chance of the game came in the 38th minute when Theo Brierley had a go, but Charles Murphy was equal to it and made a good save to keep Tadcaster’s lead intact.
The hosts were in again a minute later as Ryan Leonard fancied his chances from distance, he produced a fantastic shot and Murphy had to produce a great save to keep his team in front.

The Boro produced a great second half team performance as the performance in the second half was a great improvement on the first.
Stavros Tserpes had Radcliffe’s first chance of the half as he struck his shot from a long way out and didn’t test Murphy.
The hosts equalised in the 63rd minute after the referee said that Peers had been brought down in the box. Tom Owens stepped up to take the spotkick and kept his composure and found the back of the net.
Owens was on the scoresheet again in the 74th minute. After some nice football from the Boro and the ball was whipped in towards the back post and Owens wasn’t picked up as he arrived at the back post and was allowed a free header which Murphy couldn’t keep out.
Brendan Glackin got in on the act in the 77th minute after a nice ball through gave him a free run on goal and with Murphy rushing off his line to put pressure on Glackin, Glackin picked his spot and celebrated giving Radcliffe a two goal lead.
However a late stoppage time goal from Tadcaster captain Andy Milne put the deficit down to one and put Radcliffe’s lead under pressure in the final minutes.
