Radcliffe 0 Vs 0 Trafford Match Report
By Joseph Haslam
It was honours even in Radcliffe's Thursday night match against Trafford.
It was a quiet opening twenty minutes in the game with neither side managing to create any chances in the final third.
The visitors had the first chance of the game when Jack Dorney found himself with half a chance to get a shot away, his shot just off target in the 22nd minute.
Trafford's Aaron Burns was next to have a go at goal just after the half hour mark but didn't test Connor Keane as he could just watch the shot go wide.
Half Time Score: Radcliffe 0-0 Trafford
After the break, it look like Radcliffe were ready to step up and take control of the game as within a minute of the restart Liam Wood was through on goal, but his shot just goes wide.
A couple of minutes later, Radcliffe were in again when Louis Myers got away from his defender his shot beat the keeper but also beat the post.
Radcliffe seemed to be the better side in the early stages of the second half, but were just missing that clinical edge in front of goal.
Radcliffe's James Hooper was the next to get a chance just after the hour mark when he received the ball and fancied his chances from distance and forced a great save out of Grant Shenton.
The visitors did come close when they hit the bar late in the game, which was one of the better chances of the game if not the best.
Both teams struggled to find the space to create chances and were just cancelling each other out.
